I got this camera back in 2006 and I am in love with it as much today as when I first got it. If you are put off by the low mega pixels don't be. You can take amazing pictures from far away and zoom in on hindsight and print a nice looking close up. The many options are amazing from beach to snow shots, night options and low light. My favorite is the low light without flash option. The camera brightens up the shot this is perfect for low light shots of animals where a flask would disturb them and the picture. This camera is by far the best I've ever had and I've had some nice expensive cameras with additional lenses. I have gotten numerous compliments on not only the pictures but the camera itself. At a recent party there were 3 of us taking photos. The other 2 has new cameras and I had mine from 2006. They couldn't get their shots to come out they were either blurry or too dark. So I sent them all of mine so they'd have pics of their sister/wifes baby shower! Thats how great this camera is. In any setting if the shot doesn't come out play with the preset options and you will find the one that works and be able to take numerous amazing pics.. I even was able to get perfect crisp photos of our carved pumpkins while they were lit up in the dark!
The cheaper sony cyber shots are good and even though they have more mega pixels and seem like the better camera for the money they don't have the same magnitude of options. So if you want a camera that truly work in all places, in all settings and with amazing pictures this cybershot camera is definitely the way to go. It won't disappoint!
