Digital Cameras Digital Camera Camcorder Canon HR10 High Definition
Canon HR10 DVD Digital Camcorder

The name Canon has always meant photographic and broadcast television cameras with optical excellence, advanced image processing, superb performance, and the latest in technological advancements. Canon's new High Definition video camcorders are no exception.

The compact Canon HR10 delivers high definition technology with the convenience of DVD, incorporating the latest AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) format. A host of advanced features are joined with superb image reproduction in the world's smallest AVCHD camcorder, allowing you to create stunning HD to complete your high definition home theater experience.

Canon's own Full HD CMOS sensor, advanced DIGIC DV II image processor, Genuine Canon 10x HD video zoom lens and new 2.7 Widescreen Multi-Angle Vivid LCD are but a few of the tools at your fingertips in the HR10, along with many other easy-to-use features which will make the HR10 the choice of the sophisticated shooter.

The HR10 is Canon's first AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) DVD camcorder. AVCHD uses an MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) video codec, recording true 1080 High Definition resolution video. An advantage of the AVCHD format is that it captures twice as much video using less storage onto DVDs which play in AVCHD compatible Blu-ray disc players. Making this new technology even more convenient to use is the HR10's compact size. Measuring only 2.6" wide, 3.7" high and 5.2" deep, it's the world smallest AVCHD Format DVD Camcorder.

Added to the HR10's handy size is the convenience of shooting high definition on DVD. No more fear of taping over precious moments by accident, since you can only record onto a blank section of the DVD. True random access on a DVD means you can review your footage quickly and easily, without waiting for tape rewinding or fast forwarding.

The ease of DVD and the stunning images of Canon High Definition are yours in the HR10.

Nikon DXM-1200C 12.6 megapixel High-Definition Cooled Color Photomicrographic Digital Camera

Nikon DXM-1200C 12.6 megapixel High-Definition
Cooled Color Photomicrographic Digital Camera

Digital Cameras Digital Camera Nikon DXM-1200C 12.6 megapixel High-Definition Cooled Color Photomicrographic Digital CameraHigh resolution, 12.6 megapixel digital photomicrographic camera captures the sharpest images flawlessly.

The Digital Eclipse DXM1200C is an ultra high-quality digital camera for advanced imaging. It features a new Peltier cooling mechanism to significantly reduce heat induced noise, improved image resolution, and new software to enhance camera control, digital viewing, color rendition, and capture of images in a variety of applications. This model continues the DXM tradition of capturing images with user selectable high pixel count image files for documentation and high resolution image printing capabilities. The DXM1200C can capture image files with up to 12.6 million pixels, using Nikon's exclusive pixel stepping technology, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring the highest spatial resolution possible.

Cooling Mechanism Cuts Noise
The Peltier device cooling mechanism maintains temperature of the CCD at approximately 20C below the pre-cooled temperature. As a result, heat-induced noise which would otherwise occur during long exposures is significantly reduced, so even weak fluorescence and darkfield images are captured clearly.

Crisp Images with 12.6-megapixel Output
Nikons original pixel stepping technology has realized a super high resolution of 12.6-mega output pixels (4116 x 3072 pixels) that is 1.07 times greater than our previous models. The resulting images are exceptionally sharp, and the high-definition image files created can be printed in large format a valuable requirement for todays demanding research digital imaging systems.

Superb Sensitivity Suited for Dark Specimen Capture
Nikons high S/N digital circuit technology enables a greater range of image sensitivity, performance and image capture. Thanks to its wide exposure latitude and improved dynamic range, a wide range of light intensities can be observed and digitally stored.

Smooth Live Image Display
Images are transferred to the PC monitor at a rapid 15 fps max. speed for smooth, natural display of live image observations. Along with auto-exposure determination, this makes it easy to adjust focus, observe and shoot while reducing the chance of photobleaching due to the reduction in the overall imaging workflow process.

Upgraded Overlay (Merge)
The DXM1200Cs Overlay (Merge) feature has greater capabilities than ever before. Stack RGB separates the RGB components from the original image and layers them. Merge Channel takes the RGB set components from the original image, allocates the designated colors, then overlays. The different colors can be added or deleted independently. Merge Channel colors can be easily selected from the control software.

High Speed Data Transfer
Live image displays at high speed data transfers of 12 frames per second for precise viewing and focusing surpasses previous imaging standards.

ACT-1C Software Included
Intuitive ACT-1C software operational capabilities simplify imaging enhancements and corrections with the click of the mouse. Live field of view frames available to capture the precise on-screen image at up to 14 different file modes and image sizes. ACT-1C offers the flexibility of auto exposure or manual exposure preferences. File merging capabilities for multi-channel imaging applications is also available.

Compatible With NIS-Elements Imaging Software
The DXM-1200C is compatible with NIS-Elements, Nikon's advanced imaging software suite. NIS-Elements delivers an intuitive interface to simplify workflow, and features fast image acquisition speeds via direct streaming to RAM to record rapid biological events. The software supports numerous image processing capabilities including binary and morphological tools for measurement and analysis routines.

Direct PC-to-Camera Connection
The DXM1200C camera head connects to the PC via a single cable to the PCI interface board installed into the computer without additional wiring or power source.

Wide-field Relay Lens Offers Wider Selection of Magnifications
Nikon has developed a new wide-field relay lens exclusively for the DXM1200C. Nikon recommends the C-Mount 0.7x DXM Relay Lens, designed to provide less shading and more flatness in the images [optional].
