Olympus OM-1n MD
Manufactured by the Olympus Corp. Despite their long history and numerous 35mm cameras, Olympus did not enter the full-frame SLR market until 1971 with the FTL, a rather ordinary screw-mount camera. The OM-1 replaced it two years later and was considered a true masterpiece. It is a mechanical SLR that created the �compact SLR� group of cameras.
The first version of the OM-1 introduced in 1973 had a full range of bayonet-moutn lenses and interchangeable screens and introduced a quiet shutter (making it, at that time, one of the only cameras allowed on the PGA Tour during play). A manual camera featuring a match-needle CdS TTL meter. The OM-1 MD introduced in 1974 added a port on the bottom to accept a motor drive. The OM-1n MD introduced in 1979 added a LED flash indicator in the finder when the �Shoe-4� was attached and used with Olympus dedicated flash units. Shown with a 50mm f1.8 Zukio lens.
