Enter our new photography competition and you could win a fabulous Olympus DZ ED 7-14 superwide zoom
There are many exotic lenses to choose from in the Olympus Digital Zuiko range, but one of the most inspirational must be the Digital Zuiko 7-14mm f/4 super wide zoom. Let's face it, many of us can only dream of owning this lens. After all, its typical selling price is around US$1600, UK1100, or EU1500. But FTU, and sibling site: The Olympus UK E-System User Group (e-group.uk.net) will make that dream come true for one lucky person by mid-June this year. Yes, the DZ 7-14 is the grand prize for a new photography competition. We're most grateful to Olympus UK for donating such a superb prize. The competition is open to all Four Thirds system photographers and is not restricted by country.
The competition
The subject for the competition is simple: PEOPLE. We're looking for photographs where a person or a number of people are the primary subject. The composition is your choice; a portrait, or a candid shot, documentary photo, street shot, whatever. The image entered must have been photographed originally using a Four Thirds system DSLR manufactured by Olympus, or Panasonic Lumix, or Leica.
FTU and e-group.uk.net members will be able to vote for their favourite entries via special online gallery of entries and in doing so short-list ten finalists. Entries will be accepted from 1st March 2008 and the deadline for final entries will be 30th April. Member voting will take place over two weeks from 1st May to 14th May. The winner will be judged by a top professional photographer and announced at the beginning of June.
Before deciding to enter the competition, please read the rules below very carefully.
