Three

Competition Details
There's never a bus when you want one, then three come along at once. And talking of three, it's not only the product number of our prize camera this month, but also the theme of the competition. The possibilities for the number three are pretty endless so we want to see your creative juices flow.

In mathematics, the number three is really boring, but it crops up everywhere in world cultures. For example, three is a lucky number in Chinese culture, while the Vietnamese consider it unlucky to take a picture with three people in it.

You may want to just show objects that have three of something such as pyramids or tricycles. What about observational humour, such as buses arriving in threes or third time lucky? You could look at telephone or keyboard keys, three blind mice, the number three in religion or any other version of the theme that you see fit. As long as we can see a reference to it in the picture you're in with a chance. If you take a surreal angle and it's not obvious add some details in the caption to be sure we grasp your entry.

Prize Details
This month we have a superb Olympus E-3 to give away complete with power grip and 14-54mm lens courtesy of Olympus.

The E-3 gives photographers a high-performance tool that is primed for any assignment and satisfies the most stringent demands for D-SLR photography. It features the world's fastest auto-focusing speeds thanks to an advanced AF system and new Zuiko Digital SWD (Supersonic Wave Drive) lenses. Matched with shutter speeds of up to 1/8000. and 5f/p/s sequential shooting (with a 19 image RAW buffer in burst mode), the E-3 gives photographers a crucial edge to help capture that decisive shot.

Meanwhile, the cameras Live View capabilities provide the freedom to shoot with more versatility: Whether wanting to keep eye-contact with the subject or shooting above the head or close to the ground, compositions can be framed with ease on the 2.5in/6.4cm multi-angle HyperCrystal LCD, which also faithfully displays the effect of camera adjustments in real time.
