Cosina, the Japanese specialty camera and optics company known for high-quality cameras and lenses based on classic camera gear, has announced two new lenses under the Voigtlander brand name for Nikon and Pentax DSLRs.
The Ultron 40mm f/2 SL II Aspherical is a "pancake" design lens; it's very compact, with six elements in five groups, including a double-aspheric element and high-refraction glass. It is said to have nine aperture blades, accomodeates 52mm filters, and focuses down to around a foot.
