November 7, 2007 - Along with magnesium alloy body and ultra wide-angle 14 mm lens, EOS-1Ds Mark III Digital SLR camera features 5 fps shooting rate for bursts of up to 56 large/fine JPEGS or 12 RAW images. Full-size 36 x 24 mm CMOS image sensor is comprised of 21.1 million pixels set at pitch of 6.4 microns and reads out to dual DIGIC III image processors simultaneously in 8 channels. Able to recognize 16,384 colors per channel, camera produces images with fine, accurate gradations of tones and colors.
