Question from RaviAmane: I have a Canon PowerShot S1 IS. I happened to drop it on floor (in my defence, on a soft floor :-)).
Now it does not work anymore. When i switch it on, it shows the blank screen. If I take a photo, it captures the image all blank (black). So basically I cant take any photos anymore.
Has anybody faced such problem; any remedies?
Or is this problem occuring because of a known issue with CCD? http://www.canon-asia.com/index.jsp?fuseaction=image-phenomena_notice
Additional Information: All other functions like erase, etc. do work well and appear properly on the screen. I also can see the Canon logo when I turn on the camera. I guess that means that the LCD display is working properly.
Answer from byjamesderuvo: It could be. At the very least you should contact Canon about repairing the known CCD issue. DO NOT MENTION YOU DROPPED IT. It may have exacerbated what would've eventually happened anyway.
