In the UK we drink over 150 million cups of tea everyday. Its enjoyed by over 90% of the population and is referred to in poetry, literature and song. Peter Haigh, Brand Development Manager at Tetley explains the reasons behind the competition: Tea is one of those drinks that is almost taken for granted, but when you think about it, it is like a close friend which we turn to at times of crisis to give us a lift and a cuddle. Not only that tea has the amazing benefit of being able to warm us when we are cold and cool us when we are hot. In our eyes, Tea is Brilliant, and in the sixth annual student photographic competition, we challenge students to highlight this in photographic form. The aim of the competition is to get students to think a little more about something they probably drink 2 or 3 times a day, without giving it a second thought.
Jenny Grace, Press and PR Executive at Nikon UK commented: We are delighted to be involved in the competition which actively supports the student market and continues Nikons commitment to investing in young talent.
