Ultra-compact, easy to use and 10.0 million pixels - Olympus E-400: D-SLR power whenever you want it

With the E-400, Olympus presents the worlds smallest and lightest D-SLR* camera thats also exceptionally easy to use. Its ultra-compact dimensions and low weight offer users the freedom to take this 10.0 million pixel model with a large 2.5/ 6.4cm LCD nearly anywhere. Yet despite its modest proportions, the E-400 provides the SLR power and performance sought by pros. As featured in all E-System cameras, the E-400 incorporates the Supersonic Wave Filter. This unique Olympus technology protects the image sensor against the negative potential effects of dust and other contaminants. And being Four Thirds Standard-compatible, the E-400 grants photographers practically unlimited flexibility with a wide range of lenses and other accessories available to suit special needs.

As the worlds smallest and lightest D-SLR camera*, the E-400 brings never-before-seen compactness and easy mobility to this product segment. Its perfect for travelling, to take along on holidays or as a back-up when on the road, and wont ever become a burden.

Naturally, the high imaging performance known in all Olympus E-System cameras is maintained. As well as being equipped with the Supersonic Wave Filter for brilliant dust-free photography at all times, the camera incorporates a 10.0 million pixel CCD.

A great balance of manual control for creativity and automatic options for ease of use is available to photographers with 31 shooting modes in total. Various colour modes are also on hand and a variety of Black&White filters can be applied to photos.

Supporting the Four Thirds Standard, users have access to a multitude of accessories and lenses from both Olympus and various other producers. Coinciding with the introduction of the E-400, Olympus is also introducing two new ultra-compact ZUIKO DIGITAL lenses. Perfect for standard uses is the ED 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 (equiv. to 28-84mm). For more magnification power, Olympus offers the ED 40-150mm 1:4.0-5.6 (80-300mm).

The E-400 is living proof that D-SLR quality and versatility can go hand-in-hand with compactness and ease of use.
