Panasonic Lumix L10 preview : After attending the press conference of Panasonic at the IFA 2007 I received a pre-production sample of the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 digital SLR. Unfortunately the weather just changed and turned into a rainy instead of a sunny day. I was able to shoot some pictures with the Panasonic L10 in the centre of Berlin and I have to say that after my hands-on experience with Panasonics new SLR I am positive surprised! We cannot really make a conclusion about the image quality, firmware 0.3, and very early in the production stage, but the operation of the Panasonic L10 is very intuitive. Live View and a fully articulating LCD are a very fine combination and gives the camera a complete new D-SLR experience.
Panasonic Lumix L10 digital SLR
The new Panasonic Lumix L10 is Panasonics second digital SLR camera and is, compared to the Lumix DMC L1 camera - targeted at the mass consumer. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 features an increased resolution of ten Megapixels, is light weight, offers a new interface to control the camera and is more competitive priced. Some weeks ago we already were able to have a first look at the Panasonic L10, but at that time we were not able to give it a first try. Today we experienced the camera in real life and my first impression is a positive.
Panasonic L10 DSLR sample images taken at the IFA 2007 show
The sample images of the Panasonic DMC-L10 DSLR are made at the IFA 2007 show in Berlin after the press conference of Panasonic. Remarkable features of the camera are light weight, Advanced Live View, Optical Image Stabilizer, LEICA kit lens, Intelligent ISO and Scene settings like we use to know them with the Panasonic Lumix compact camera series, new developed image sensor, fully articulating LCD, and even Face Detection. Take a look at our image gallery; the images are resized and were shot right after Panasonics IFA press conference.
